At Henna with Seema, I offer four high-quality paste options prepared in bulk from trusted local vendors, and all cones are hand-rolled by me for perfect flow and control:

1. Natural Henna Paste – Made with pure henna powder and essential oils for classic, deep brown-maroon stains.

2. Dark Blend Henna Paste – A richer blend with a small amount of natural jagua juice mixed into henna powder for deeper, darker stains.

3. Pregnancy-Safe Henna Paste – A gentle formula free from essential oils, ideal for baby showers, belly henna, and mom-to-be sessions.

4. Natural Jagua Gel – Fruit-based gel used for blue-black tattoo-style body art.

All options are chemical-free, PPD-free, and completely safe when used as recommended.

Yes — I offer a dedicated Pregnancy-Safe Henna Paste that contains no harmful oils, no chemicals, and no additives, making it perfect for:

Jagua gel is NOT recommended for pregnant women or young children.

Jagua Gel is a natural, plant-based gel extracted from the Genipa Americana fruit. It produces a blue-black, tattoo-like stain lasting 1–2 weeks.

Differences:

• Henna Paste: Stains brown to maroon (shade depends on formula).

• Dark Blend: Brown stain but deeper due to the touch of jagua.

• Pregnancy-Safe Henna: Soft brown stain, gentle formula.

• Jagua Gel: Temporary tattoo look, bold and dark.

Both are natural, but jagua is not suitable for pregnant clients.

Henna creates warm brown to deep reddish-brown stains and is traditionally used for bridal and cultural designs. 

Jagua produces a blue-black stain, similar in appearance to a temporary tattoo, making it a popular choice for modern, bold designs.

Both henna and jagua are plant-based and temporary, with stain depth and longevity depending on skin type, placement, and aftercare.

Henna and Jagua stains deepen gradually and typically reach their peak color within 48 hours after application. We recommend booking your appointment accordingly.

Yes, on-site bridal henna is available with a minimum booking of $250. Travel fees may apply based on location.

For the darkest stain, bridal henna is recommended 48 hours before the wedding day.

Yes. I offer both regular and ultra dark henna blends, made with 100% natural ingredients. The regular blend is perfect for soft, natural stains, while the ultra dark blend is ideal for clients who prefer deeper, bolder results. Stain depth also depends on skin type, aftercare, and timing. Final stain results vary naturally and cannot be guaranteed. 

Yes! I offer private individual henna appointments at my clean, cozy, and professional home studio in Alpharetta, GA, USA.

• Natural Henna Paste: 7–14 days

• Dark Blend Henna Paste: 10–14 days (deeper, richer stains)

• Pregnancy-Safe Henna Paste: 5–10 days (softer formula, lighter stain)

• Jagua Gel: 1–2 weeks (dark tattoo-style effect)

Stain results depend on skin type, body placement, and aftercare.

For the best results for all Henna blends:

• Keep paste on for 6–8+ hours

• Avoid water for first 24 hours

• Use the lemon-sugar sealant if recommended

• After removing the paste, apply natural oils (coconut, olive, mustard, eucalyptus)

• Avoid lotions and soap for the first day

• Keep hands warm, as heat deepens the stain

What to Do Right After Application ?

• Let the jagua gel stay on for at least 3–6 hours. The longer you leave it on, the richer and darker the stain will become. 

• Do not touch, rub, or scratch the design while the gel is drying — jagua is sensitive and any smudge can ruin the final result. 

Removing the Gel & Initial Care

• Wash the gel off gently with lukewarm water and mild soap (no scrubbing). Use your fingers or a soft cloth, and pat dry — do not rub. 

• Don’t worry if the stain looks faint or pale at first — it’s completely normal. The color will deepen over the next 24–48 hours as it oxidizes. 

 Long-Term Maintenance for a Lasting Stain

• Moisturize regularly with a gentle, natural moisturizer or oil (e.g. coconut oil) — this helps prevent premature fading and keeps the skin soft. 

• Avoid excessive water, friction, and harsh chemicals on the tattooed area. Try to avoid swimming, scrubbing, exfoliating, or long showers for the first few days. 

• Limit exposure to sun and chlorine (like pools or hot tubs), especially before the stain fully develops, as they can speed up fading.  

 General Tips & Expectations

• Jagua stains usually develop a deep blue-black color — but final results vary depending on skin type, body area, and aftercare. 

• Typically, a well-cared-for jagua design will last anywhere from 1 to 3 weeks, depending on lifestyle, skin renewal, and how well aftercare is followed.

For children, I only use Natural Henna Paste to ensure maximum safety.

I avoid jagua gel for kids, as their skin can be more sensitive.

Yes, when applied professionally and with proper aftercare. I use high-quality, skin-safe Jagua and perform a consultation before application. Clients with very sensitive skin are encouraged to request a patch test.
